An anonymous Instagram moodboard that later evolved into a full-fledged streetwear label, Hidden NY is one of the most striking examples of how a strong visual identity and expert content curation can build a global brand. The page has amassed nearly three million followers and successfully translated its digital influence into a real-world partnership with ASICS, turning fan-created concepts and mockups into full-fledged retail releases.

Up until this point, all of ASICS's Hidden NY collaborations have revolved around the brand's signature pine green hue—a color that has become an integral part of the brand's visual language. This time, however, the team has decided to change course. The new collaborative release, scheduled for December 5th, eschews the iconic green in favor of a deeper, more atmospheric palette of black, blue, and silver.

The collaboration centers on the ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 14, a running silhouette that debuted in 2009 and recently received a second life in the ASICS Sportstyle line. This model has recently been featured in collaborations with NFL star Stefon Diggs and ASICS creative director Kiko Kostadinov , further underscoring its relevance in contemporary fashion.

Hidden NY's "Dusk" version features a hexagonal blue print on the toe box and blue and silver accents on the side panels. The tongue tape features a moon phase graphic, a direct reference to the release's name and twilight theme. Silver H logos on the heel tab and outer heel complete the look.

The GEL-DS Trainer 14 was once considered one of ASICS' most technologically advanced running shoes, combining stability, lightweight performance, and signature GEL cushioning. Today, this silhouette fits seamlessly into the retro running sneaker trend, balancing archival aesthetics with contemporary streetwear style.
